CHRIS & CHARLIE

CHRIS & CHARLIE is de nieuwe band rond Christiane en Charlotte Adigéry. Moeder en dochter vinden zich samen in hun liefde voor de Jamaican Soul, of Rocksteady, het antwoord uit Kingston op de Close Harmony en Rhythm & Blues die kwam overwaaien uit Amerika midden jaren 60.

Met een schatkamer aan prachtsongs, het vocaal talent en charisma van de twee frontvrouwen, en de ijzersterke begeleiding van leden van Whodads en Internationals, kan het speelplezier niets anders dan van het podium druipen.

RIZZLA SOUND

Terry (one man sound) is begonnen in 2001 in café Den Drempel waar hij elke week wat vlagen reggae, afro of dancehall door de boxen joeg. Steeds meer Zuiderse ritmes kenmerken zijn dj sets tegenwoordig, verwacht je een zorgvuldig geselecteerde warming up voor deze avond.

BOMB-A-SOUND CREW

Bomb-A-Sound Crew est. 1999, promotors of Bomb-A-Drop parties, homebase on party boat Boothuis Brauhaus) plays uplifting reggae music, from foundation, rub-a-dub, oldschool dancehall, new roots up to the latest hype chunes.

Active members are “Capi” Root T, Jazzpah “Jazz” and “Papi” Stubborn, Mr Deeds “Deepdigger”.

Selectors Stubborn and Jazz, these two vinyl freaks have been collecting and spinning Reggae 45’s for years and years. Stubborn used to live in Berlin where he had a weekly slot at the famous YAAM club; he also collaborates in Caoutchou Records and is their resident DJ. Jazz stays up-to-date with the new roots music and digs relentlessly for classic gems.

Bomba Sound was originally a strictly vinyl sound, we recently included digital controllers and rebranded as Bomb-A-Sound Crew. We don’t play homophobic music, we keep it positive and make sure the ladies enjoy themselves.

Deeds entered the dancehall scene as a promotor of underground squat bashments (Smart Art Movement). He later moved to Jamaica where he teamed up with Westmoreland’s Ghetto Rock Soundsystem and caught the boastful walk and patois talk of the true original soundboy. Since then he has been the MC for Selah Techniques, Giraffe Soundsystem, Raggamuffin Whiteman, Ghetto Rock (JA), Stubborn (Dubstep), Caoutchou Records (resident MC), Sugar Charly, Serendipity Soundsystem and Bomb-A-Sound. Bright and feasty!
